A truly tiny species, perhaps the smallest that I carry. They don’t reproduce very fast and their small size makes them a collector’s species rather than a cleanup crew specialist. This species moves very slowly, is truly tiny, and rarely jumps. Please observe carefully before reporting DOA, you may not even be able to see them in their shipping container. This species also has a bad habit of getting into the gaps of lids so thoroughly tap shipping container flat against a hard surface before opening so all lodged springtails fall back onto the clay substrate.

Xenylla humicola is not suitable as a standalone cleanup crew species due to their incredibly small size and slow reproduction. See the Cleanup Crew Guides for more information: www.springtails.us/cleanup-crew-guides
