Perhaps the smallest species in distribution and yet still a striking blue in color. Some specimens present lighter yellow tones mixed in with the blue. Collection location and family level identification distinguishes this stock from the other “Tiny Blue Springtail” (Poduromorpha sp) in hobby distribution. This species may appear dead on arrival but in the vast majority of cases they are actually alive and what you are witnessing is their natural behavior; they leave white molts which look like corpses, are extremely small, move very little, and blend in well with the clay. Please observe your culture carefully to verify movement or the total lack thereof before submitting a DOA report.
