This species is known for being found in ant nests, acting as their personal cleanup crew. They prefer life below ground. This Springtails US line was collected in Illinois and kept pure from other hobby lines.

Pseudosinella rolfsi are an excellent cleanup crew option in moderate to high humidity enclosures and do not get into such high populations as the comparable Pseudosinella violenta. They are also perhaps a cleanup crew option for ant colonies. See the Cleanup Crew Guides for more information: www.springtails.us/cleanup-crew-guides
-
Culture Pseudosinella rolfsi on Springtail Clay, soil, or Springtail Plaster. Feed yeast, dry rice, or Springtails US springtail food mixes. See the Care Guides for more information: www.springtails.us/care-guides

Current restock schedule: Weekly (usually Tuesday nights).

Ships on Springtail Clay, can be cultured in the cup they ship in.

This line was originally collected by Ryne of Springtails US from a forest floor near Oglesby, Illinois. The species has been introduced by other collectors as well but I have kept my line pure. Common in soil environments, typically subterranean, and ant nests. Range/distribution nearctic.
