
This is a locality of the orange springtail Yuukianura aphoruroides originally collected in Florida. This species cannot jump and moves quite slowly. They prefer life underground but swarm food on the surface. Originally collected from a rotting log in Florida. Ecosystem preference not fully understood, but likely soil and rot wood dwelling. Range/distribution: oriental, though the species has been naturalized throughout the world and the full range isn't known.
