Armadillidium vulgare is among the common roly-poly type isopods found throughout the world. They thrive in a wide range of environments and are one of the best beginner species. A. vulgare is known to feed on sensitive plants in terrariums. St. Lucia - Yellow was isolated by Orin McMonigle and presents in subdued shades of yellow and sometimes pink in young individuals, and rich shades of yellow and sometimes lilac in adults.
