Armadillidium nasatum is among the common roly-poly type isopods found throughout the world. They go by the common name "nosy roly-poly" because of their large distinctive "nose". They thrive in a wide range of environments and are one of the best beginner species. A. nasatum is known to feed on sensitive plants in terrariums. This locality was originally collected by Springtails US in Granville, Illinois.
