Giant Canyon Isopods are an excellent cleanup crew option for reptile enclosures and arid environments. They tolerate a drier environment as long as they have access to a moist area. Their large appetite makes them great at cleaning up reptile sheds. P. dilatatus spend much of their time underground and are a great option to avoid predation in lizard enclosures. They also have the neat quirk of playing dead when disturbed.
